Vinicius Junior has emerged as Arsenal’s leading transfer target as the Premier League champions consider the largest contract in club history. Mikel Arteta reportedly wants the Real Madrid winger at the Emirates Stadium after the Brazilian scored four goals during the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Arsenal are prepared to improve on Vinicius Junior’s current £400,000 weekly salary, which already exceeds Bukayo Saka’s reported £365,000 deal. The move would give Arsenal another elite attacker as they defend their league title after losing the UEFA Champions League final to Paris Saint-Germain.

Real Madrid Face Vinicius Junior Decision
Vinicius Junior has one year remaining on his Real Madrid contract, placing pressure on the Spanish club to agree new terms or consider a sale. New coach Jose Mourinho wants to retain the winger, although talks over his salary have stalled.
“Real Madrid have offered him 20m Euros. He wants 30m Euros ($48.9m) - just over 550,000 Euros a week net,” Terry Gibson told Sky Sports News.
Real Madrid are also pursuing RB Leipzig winger Yan Diomande as a possible replacement. The Spanish club has already signed Bernardo Silva, Ibrahima Konate and Denzel Dumfries.
Liverpool Consider Record Bradley Barcola Move
Liverpool may need to break the Premier League transfer record to sign Paris Saint-Germain winger Bradley Barcola as a long-term replacement for Mohamed Salah. The European champions reportedly want £145 million for the France international.
Liverpool are also being urged to consider free agent John Stones after Joe Gomez suffered an injury during the 4-2 pre-season victory over Sunderland.
Elsewhere, Newcastle United value Bruno Guimaraes at £100 million, while Arsenal are reportedly prepared to offer about £60 million including bonuses.
“Bruno is captain of our football club. He has been an unbelievable player and person all the time we have worked together,” Eddie Howe said.
