Vozinha is set to join Chilean leaders Colo Colo after starring for Cape Verde at the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The 40-year-old goalkeeper has reached a verbal agreement with the Primera Division club and is expected to travel to Chile for medical tests once the documents are completed.
Vozinha arrives after two seasons with Chaves in Portugal and a World Cup campaign that placed him in FIFA’s Team of the Tournament. He made 18 saves across four matches, recorded two clean sheets and finished with a save rate of 78.3 per cent.

Colo Colo Win Race for Vozinha
Transfer reporter Fabrizio Romano said a verbal agreement had been reached, although the final paperwork was still awaiting completion.
“Vozinha to Colo Colo, here we go! Verbal agreement in place for Cape Verde goalkeeper.”
Colo Colo sit top of the Chilean Primera Division with 39 points from 16 matches, holding a 13-point lead over Universidad Catolica. The club has recorded 13 wins and three defeats during the season.
Vozinha’s arrival would add an experienced goalkeeper to a team already in a commanding league position. His displays for Cape Verde also made him one of the most popular players at the World Cup.
Long Career Reaches South America
Vozinha began his senior career with Batuque in 2009 before playing for Mindelense and Progresso Associacao do Sambizanga.
He later represented Zimbru Chisinau, Gil Vicente, AEL Limassol, AS Trencin and Chaves. Vozinha also won the Cypriot Cup with AEL Limassol during the 2018-19 season.
The goalkeeper made his Cape Verde debut against Cameroon in September 2012 and has since collected 92 international appearances.
