Carlton coach interviews will begin this week after selection panellist Adam Simpson confirmed on Wednesday's AFL 360 that the process to replace Michael Voss was ready to move forward.
St Kilda assistant Corey Enright, Essendon assistant James Kelly and Fremantle assistant Jaymie Graham are among the reported candidates. Interim Carlton Blues coach Josh Fraser could also be considered after a 7-2 record.
The decision comes as Adem Yze faces three major questions at the Richmond Tigers during another Victorian rebuild.

“We’re catching up this week, just to go through what the final numbers look like and then we get going in the next month or so. Haven’t had a lot of direction, but it starts this week,” Adam Simpson said on AFL 360.
Josh Fraser has repeatedly said he does not feel ready for a permanent senior coaching position and has not formally nominated. His strong run as interim coach has nevertheless kept him firmly in the discussion.

Tasmania Entry Could Reduce Game Time
AFL football boss Greg Swann also confirmed that quarter length could be reviewed before the Tasmania Devils enter the competition in 2028. A possible move from 22 to 24 home-and-away games has raised concerns about player workload and total match time.
“We did change those rules and we’ve knocked off three minutes per game. But is it enough? Probably not,” Greg Swann told Channel 7.
The AFL has discussed several fixture models with clubs, including a 24-game season featuring 11 home matches, 11 away matches and two neutral rounds. Any game-time change could be considered during the off-season.
