Rays vs Dodgers series recap
The Rays vs Dodgers series in Los Angeles ended with a clean sweep for the home side on Wednesday, as the Los Angeles Dodgers outplayed the Tampa Bay Rays across three tightly contested games at Chavez Ravine. The Dodgers secured a 5-4 win in the final game to complete the sweep, with Shohei Ohtani playing a central role in both pitching and batting moments. Tampa Bay, who had entered the series with strong momentum in the standings, were unable to maintain early leads and struggled to match Los Angeles in clutch situations.
Dodgers take control late
Across the series, Los Angeles showed stronger late-game execution. Freddie Freeman’s key two-run homer in the finale turned the game around after Ohtani had mixed results on the mound. Earlier, Ohtani also delivered the only run in a 1-0 win with a solo homer.
Rays struggle for power
Tampa Bay’s lack of home run production continued to hurt them, as their offense failed to sustain pressure beyond early innings.
