Kysaiah Pickett AFL ban fears have ended after the Melbourne Demons star avoided suspension for tripping Collingwood Magpies defender Brayden Maynard during Monday’s King’s Birthday clash.
Pickett, who was best on ground in Melbourne’s thrilling win over Collingwood, received a $3000 fine and will be free to face Essendon on Saturday.

Pickett Cleared To Face Essendon
Maynard dislocated his shoulder after landing awkwardly from the trip, but the Match Review Officer did not hand Pickett a suspension.
The decision is a boost for the Melbourne Demons, who keep one of their most dangerous players available after a high-pressure King’s Birthday win.

Frampton Hit With Three-Match Ban
Collingwood defender Billy Frampton received a three-match suspension for a second-quarter tackle that left former teammate Brody Mihocek with a fractured neck.
The incident was graded careless conduct, severe impact and high contact, with Collingwood expected to consider a tribunal challenge.
If the ban stands, Frampton will miss Collingwood’s matches against Port Adelaide, Richmond and Gold Coast.
Play was stopped for 10 minutes after the tackle before Mihocek was taken from the field and sent to hospital by ambulance.
Collingwood Rally Around Mihocek And Frampton
Collingwood defender Harry Perryman said the playing group was thinking of both Mihocek and Frampton after a difficult aftermath.
"A lot of us are good mates with Checkers (Mihocek) and we just hope he's OK," Perryman told AAP.
"We wrapped our arms around Billy because he was pretty rattled by it all."
Mihocek has already undergone surgery on his fractured neck and was up and walking on Tuesday.
