Eviction Notice could earn a place in early spring stakes races if the two-year-old breaks his maiden in Saturday’s Marcellin College Randwick Handicap at Randwick. The Tulloch Lodge gelding returns on a nine-day turnaround, with the Listed Rosebud on August 15 among his possible targets.
Eviction Notice placed in the Canonbury Stakes and Silver Slipper before finishing midfield in the Black Opal Stakes, won by later Golden Slipper placegetter Music Time. He resumed at Warwick Farm earlier this month but found Michael Freedman-trained colt Castillo King too strong.

Adrian Bott Backs Mental Improvement
Co-trainer Adrian Bott believes gelding Eviction Notice has helped the juvenile settle and use his natural speed more efficiently.
“I think the winner was very good, and his was an honest run,” Adrian Bott said.
“He’s come back very well and he’s doing things much better this preparation. That should help him sustain a longer ‘prep’, and open up a few options later on.”
Eviction Notice will concede up to five kilograms to his Randwick rivals under the set-weight conditions. Adam Hyeronimus will ride from barrier eight, while Adrian Bott hopes the track improves from its soft 7 rating.
“There are a few things against him, but he is better for that first run, and I thought that would end up being a pretty good form race,” Adrian Bott said.
Rosebud Chance Awaits
A win could send Eviction Notice towards the Listed Rosebud over 1100 metres before several leading spring contenders return.
“We want to see him prove himself to get into those races again and try to give him a bit of confidence,” Adrian Bott said.
