Kambalda Eagles begin a demanding three-match road stretch against Kalgoorlie City Football Club at Sir Richard Moore Sports Centre on Saturday, July 18, 2026. The Round 14 contest could shape their Goldfields Football League campaign as they chase a first win and attempt to close the gap to the top four.
Kambalda Football Club sit three victories and percentage outside the finals places. Kalgoorlie City Football Club have already defeated them by 86 and 49 points this season, while also upsetting ladder leaders Boulder City Football Club by five points in Round 12.
In wider Western Australian football news, Will Day has been ruled out as Hawthorn Football Club regain three players.
The immediate task is to remain competitive through three successive away fixtures. After facing Kalgoorlie City Football Club, Kambalda Football Club will meet Mines Rovers Football Club and Boulder City Football Club at Digger Daws Oval.
Kambalda Football Club will then return home for their final three qualifying matches, beginning against Railways Football Club on August 8. The official Goldfields Football League website provides the competition’s fixtures and league information.
The Railways Football Club match will coincide with a 50th anniversary reunion celebrating Kambalda Football Club’s 1976 league and reserves premiership teams. The event will begin at 12.30pm and follows an earlier reunion held at Perth’s Raffles Hotel in May.
Kambalda Football Club had competed in the Goldfields Football League for only seven years when they won their first league premiership in 1976. Captain-coach John Hoare led the side to a 60-point grand final victory over Railways Football Club.
The next three rounds will test Kambalda Football Club’s ability to defend against stronger opposition and create enough scoring chances away from home. A breakthrough victory would also provide welcome belief before their season-ending home run.
