Australia Women vs Bangladesh Women ended in a one-sided T20 World Cup result in Leeds, where Australia claimed a nine-wicket win with 63 balls to spare and moved to the top of their group.
Bangladesh captain Nigar Sultana Joty won the toss and chose to bat, hoping her top order could put Australia under early pressure. Instead, Bangladesh collapsed to 77 for 8 as Kim Garth, Sophie Molineux and Ellyse Perry struck through the middle of the innings.

Australia bowlers take early control
Megan Schutt opened with control before Garth removed Dilara Akter with a straight ball that hit off stump. Garth then trapped Juairiya Ferdous lbw as Bangladesh slipped to 17 for 3.
Molineux also struck in the Powerplay, leaving Bangladesh 22 for 3 after six overs. Perry then entered the attack in the eighth over and took two quick wickets, with Sobhana Mostary caught by Molineux and Shorna Akter given lbw.
Voll finishes chase in style
Bangladesh reached 77 for 8 thanks mainly to a slow stand between Joty and Ritu Moni, who batted for nearly nine overs but added only 32 runs. Both fell while trying to lift the scoring rate late in the innings.
Australia made short work of the target, with Georgia Voll finishing 45 not out from 32 balls and Perry unbeaten on 19.
Marufa Akter again gave Bangladesh a bright spell, taking Beth Mooney’s wicket and troubling Voll and Perry with movement. She also created chances that were not taken, including a missed opportunity against Voll at short midwicket and a dropped catch from Perry at mid-off.
The result boosts Australia’s net run rate and underlines their depth, while Bangladesh will look for sharper batting and cleaner fielding in their next match.
