Trai Fuller Dolphins loyalty has been rewarded with a new deal through to the end of 2027, with the fan favourite fullback choosing to stay at Redcliffe despite interest from rival NRL and Super League clubs.
The 29-year-old had been linked with the St George Illawarra Dragons, Perth Bears and overseas options, but has backed the Dolphins as he continues to chase more first-grade minutes behind Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow.

Fuller Stays Loyal Amid Rival Interest
Fuller’s decision comes after the St George Illawarra Dragons were heavily linked with him earlier this year before shifting their focus toward North Queensland Cowboys fullback Scott Drinkwater.
The Dragons could have offered a clearer path to a starting fullback spot, but Fuller has chosen stability at the Dolphins after joining the club on a train-and-trial deal before the 2023 season.
His rise has made him one of the club’s most popular players, with his speed, support play and energy giving Redcliffe a reliable option whenever called upon.
Official Dolphins fixtures and player updates can be followed through the Dolphins website.
Dolphins Keep Key Depth Option
Fuller has played 19 NRL games and has also represented the Prime Minister’s XIII and Indigenous All Stars.
Injuries and the presence of Tabuai-Fidow have limited his chances at times, but the Dolphins clearly value his role as one of the best backup fullbacks in the competition.
The re-signing also points to the culture being built at Redcliffe, with Fuller turning down stronger short-term pathways elsewhere to remain with the club.
He will be free to speak with rivals again from November 1 about the 2028 season, but the Dolphins have secured an important squad piece for at least another year.
