Bronson Xerri Storm deal has been confirmed, with Melbourne Storm signing the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs centre on a three-year contract from the 2027 NRL season.
The 25-year-old had one year left on his Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs deal, but the club granted him an early release as Melbourne Storm reshape their outside backs.
The move adds another layer to a busy NRL period, with South Sydney Rabbitohs vs Newcastle Knights also shaping Round 19 selection and form debate.
Melbourne Add Backline Power
Xerri will join fellow outside back Jamayne Isaako as a new Melbourne Storm recruit in 2027.
The club is preparing for change, with William Warbrick and Nick Meaney set to leave at the end of the year, while Jack Howarth’s future remains unclear.
“We’re thrilled to have Bronson joining our club on a three-year deal,” Storm director of football Frank Ponissi said.
“He’s a tough, competitive player with great speed and athleticism who we believe will be an important addition to our outside backs heading into the next three years.
“We look forward to welcoming Bronson and his family to Melbourne ahead of the 2027 season.“
Official NRL transfer news and fixtures are available through the National Rugby League.
Xerri Focused On Bulldogs Finish
Xerri had been linked with a move away from Belmore after being dropped early in the season, but later won back his place and impressed again in the centres.
His best game of the year came against Melbourne Storm in Round 12, when he ran for 207 metres and broke 13 tackles.
“I’ve really enjoyed my time as a Bulldog and have been lucky enough to form friendships that will last a lifetime,” Xerri said.
“This club gave me an opportunity to return to the NRL and for that I am truly grateful.
“Although I will move onto a new chapter next
