Brayden Maynard is set for a stint on the sidelines after dislocating his shoulder during Collingwood’s 12.11 (83) to 11.9 (75) loss to Melbourne in the King’s Birthday blockbuster at the MCG.
The setback leaves Collingwood with another defensive gap, with captain Darcy Moore already out indefinitely with a hamstring injury and Jamie Elliott sidelined for the season with a knee problem.

Maynard Suffers Double Shoulder Blow
Maynard first hurt his right shoulder while trying to tackle Harrison Petty in the opening quarter and went to the rooms for assessment.
He returned to the field but dislocated the same shoulder again in a contest with Kysaiah Pickett, forcing him out before halftime.
"Bruzzy's shoulder popped out twice and he's an incredibly brave player," Collingwood coach Craig McRae said.
"He comes back on the ground and his shoulder pops out again. But even when he came back on he was just playing tough.
"That's going to take its own course but generally we give them three or four weeks off to strengthen up.
"Young (Will) Hayes is doing that at the moment but this might be a bit more extreme than that. We'll wait and see."
Mihocek Taken To Hospital
Melbourne forward Brody Mihocek was also taken to hospital for scans on his head and neck after falling head-first into the turf in a Billy Frampton tackle.
Frampton immediately showed concern for his former Collingwood teammate, while players from both sides gathered around Mihocek before he was taken off on a stretcher.
"You saw our response on the field - because we love him," McRae said of Mihocek.
"There's parts of us that still would love him to be in our building and he's at a different club now, but we don't lose our love for him.
"Hopefully he's alright and supported well ... fingers crossed that it's not too bad."
McRae said the tribunal may review Frampton’s tackle. Official AFL updates are available through the AFL website.
