The FIFA World Cup 2026 ticketing error has left around 60 football fans scrambling after they were initially awarded tickets at no cost due to a checkout system issue. The mistake affected purchases made on May 21, reportedly for group-stage matches in Toronto, and FIFA has now asked supporters to pay the correct amount if they want to keep their seats.
FIFA Confirms Ticketing Mistake
FIFA acknowledged the issue in a public statement, saying:

The tickets requested by these fans remain reserved, and the affected fans have been invited to complete payment of the correct amount. FIFA regrets the error and any inconvenience caused."
