The FIFA World Cup 2026 has confirmed the official kit colour designations for all 72 group stage matches, setting the visual identity for the opening round across Mexico, Canada, and the United States just days before kickoff in Mexico City.
FIFA confirmed that host nations will stick to their traditional colours, with Mexico in green, Canada in red, and the United States in red-and-white stripes for their opening fixtures. Defending champions Argentina will wear their classic light blue and white, while Brazil continue in yellow shirts and blue shorts. England, France, Germany, and Spain will also keep their established home kits to avoid clashes and maintain broadcast clarity.
Debut nations including Curaçao, Jordan, Uzbekistan, and Cabo Verde will also appear in clean, high-contrast kits for their first World Cup matches, adding fresh visuals to the tournament’s opening phase.
FIFA’s kit rules also include squad number limits, referee contrast checks, and special sleeve patches highlighting debut players and legacy appearances.
