Sean Darcy WAFL return has given Fremantle Dockers coach Justin Longmuir a welcome boost after the ruckman impressed for Peel in difficult conditions over the weekend.
Darcy finished with 36 hit outs and a game-high six marks in his battle with West Coast ruck Matt Flynn, but Fremantle will wait until after the bye before bringing him back into the AFL side.

Darcy Set For Another WAFL Run
“He’ll have another run at Peel, we’ll look to build his minutes a little bit more,” Longmuir told 7News.
“I thought he moved really well and took some really strong contested marks in some pretty ordinary conditions, so it was a really positive sign.
“But we’ve also got to build his match fitness up a little bit more in the WAFL.”
Darcy’s display adds pressure on Mason Cox, who had only five touches in Fremantle’s win over Brisbane. The 27-year-old has not played since round five and has battled injuries in recent seasons.
Fremantle Keep Focus On North Melbourne
Fremantle are chasing a record-extending 12th straight win against North Melbourne on Saturday, with the club sitting top of the ladder and viewed as a premiership contender.
“It was a long road trip against a team looking to bounce back and I thought we played some of the best footy of the year,” Longmuir said.
“We got the game played on our terms and there were some really good performances across the board and another good win.”
Longmuir said fans have every right to be excited, but the players remain locked in on North Melbourne. Official club updates are available through the Fremantle Dockers website.
