Football transfers continued across Europe and North America while the 2026 World Cup dominated attention. Ten completed moves involving Leandro Trossard, Denzel Dumfries and Goncalo Ramos could shape the coming club season.
Leandro Trossard left Arsenal for Besiktas in a £15.3 million deal after 36 goals in 174 appearances. Germany defender Nathaniel Brown joined Bayern Munich from Eintracht Frankfurt, while Denzel Dumfries signed a four-year Real Madrid contract.
Transfer activity also surrounds the Premier League champions, although Liverpool coach Andoni Iraola has ruled out key exits.
Established Names Take New Routes
AC Milan paid a club-record £60.2 million for Goncalo Ramos, who scored 45 times in 131 Paris Saint-Germain appearances. The official AC Milan announcement confirms the Portugal striker signed through June 2031.
Robert Lewandowski ended four years at Barcelona by joining Chicago Fire after scoring 19 goals last season. Harry Winks returned to Serie A with Cagliari following spells at Tottenham Hotspur, Sampdoria and Leicester City.
Real Madrid also added Denzel Dumfries after triggering his Inter Milan release clause. The club's official statement confirms a deal running until 2030.
Younger Players Secure Major Moves
Ipswich Town spent £24 million on Toulouse striker Emersonn, who scored six Ligue 1 goals last season. Manchester City paid £21.6 million for Troyes winger Mathys Detourbet before loaning the 19-year-old to Monaco.
Arsenal signed former Leeds United goalkeeper Illan Meslier on a free transfer to challenge for the backup role behind David Raya. Jakub Kaminski completed two moves, joining FC Cologne for €5.5 million before Benfica activated his €20 million release clause.
