Colombia secured their place in the 2026 FIFA World Cup knockout stage with a hard fought 1-0 victory over DR Congo in Guadalajara Daniel Muñoz scored the decisive goal in the 76th minute to seal all three points and send Los Cafeteros through to the next round. Muñoz Delivers the Breakthrough

Mpasi consistently positioned himself well and reacted sharply to prevent the scoreline from becoming more comfortable for Colombia.
His display ensured the contest remained competitive until the final whistle.

The victory means Colombia have collected four points and secured qualification for the knockout stage with one group match still to play.
Head coach Néstor Lorenzo will be encouraged by his side’s defensive stability as well as their ability to control matches against difficult opponents.
