Wallabies preparations for Ireland will begin earlier than planned after Queensland Reds joined ACT Brumbies in a Super Rugby Pacific quarter-final exit in New Zealand.
The Reds fell to the Chiefs in Hamilton on Saturday night, extending Australia’s Super Rugby playoff losing run across the Tasman to 22 years and ending hopes of an Australian side reaching the final four.

Queensland Reds Miss Big Chance
Queensland Reds were still in the contest at halftime, but two second-half tries from Damien McKenzie ended their challenge.
Les Kiss’ side also failed to turn long attacking spells into points, including one second-half passage where they held possession for 28 phases without scoring.
"Mixed emotions in a lot of ways - I'm bloody proud of the boys in a number of ways," Kiss said following the loss in Hamilton.
"At halftime, I think we were still confident about what we were doing on the park and we were standing up to the things we said we'd do.
"I'm gutted for the boys more than anything."
Wallabies Squad Comes Into View
Kiss will assist current Wallabies coach Joe Schmidt for three Tests before taking charge, with Australia to face Ireland in Sydney on July 4.
The Wallabies then play France in Brisbane and Italy in Perth, giving players from Queensland Reds and ACT Brumbies extra time to prepare.
Fraser McReight, Harry Wilson and Tate McDermott are among the Queensland players pushing strong claims before the Wallabies squad is named.
McReight paid tribute to Kiss after three seasons in charge of the Reds.
"He's been huge - all the senior players are probably playing the best footy under Les and that's no coincidence," McReight said.
"He's someone who cares so much about individuals and about this team ... he's been great for us and personally great for me and my leadership development and my playing development.
"I know there's a lot of other boys who can attest to that."
