Shai Gilgeous-Alexander Game 7 stats became one of the biggest talking points of the NBA playoffs after the Oklahoma City Thunder star delivered a standout performance against the San Antonio Spurs on Saturday night. The two-time MVP scored 35 points and added nine assists, but Oklahoma City fell 111-103 in Game 7 of the Western Conference Finals, ending its championship hopes despite Gilgeous-Alexander's efforts.
Gilgeous-Alexander Leads Thunder Fightback
After being limited to just 15 points in Game 6, Gilgeous-Alexander responded with one of his strongest performances of the postseason. He finished with 35 points, four rebounds, nine assists, three steals and a block while shooting 12-for-21 from the field.
The Thunder guard looked aggressive from the opening minutes, attacking defenders and knocking down mid-range jumpers that energized the home crowd. He scored 19 first-half points and kept Oklahoma City within striking distance throughout the contest.
Spurs' Balanced Attack Proves Decisive
While Gilgeous-Alexander delivered individually, San Antonio received contributions across the roster. Seven Spurs players scored in double figures, and the visitors caught fire from three-point range during the second half.
Strong defensive work from Victor Wembanyama and the Spurs' perimeter defenders also helped limit Oklahoma City's supporting cast, leaving the MVP without enough offensive support late in the game.
