Hamish McLachlan is back with another trifecta and first four tip on the VRC Kennedy Oaks at Flemington.
McLachlan landed last year’s trifecta and first four with She’s Extreme, Pavitra, Queen Air and Zennzella.
In 2021 he pulled it off Willowy, Douceur, Biscayne Bay and Elusive Express.
In 2020, he had Personal, Salto Angel, Montefilia and Miravalle.
This year, he is back to give the SEN listeners his selections for the Group 1 for the three-year-old fillies (Race 8 at Flemington, 5:10pm AEDT).
“I’ve got it down to two winners and the obvious is Zardozi,” McLachlan said on SEN’s Whateley.
“But I loved the run of Aethelflaed, so I’m putting Aethelflaed and Zardozi together to win with a slight leaning towards the long priced horse.
“So 8 from 2, or 2 from 8.
“Then we’re going to do the same second, third and fourth. The two Gai (Waterhouse) horses get thrown in Tropical Squall and Amazonian Lass.
“Then Basilinna for Ollie (Damien Oliver), and a bit of value - I’d be surprised if it doesn’t run well - Ethel Maude.
“So the numbers are: 8 and 2 to win, from 1, 2, 3, 7, 8 and 10.”
